World Sickle Cell Day: What It’s Like To Have Sickle Cell

Today is Sickle Cell Day 2020 (#WorldSickleCellDay) and to help spread awareness the Melanin Gamers are currently having a 24 hour stream which includes games, presentations, discussions and videos submitted from other Sickle Cell sufferers.

I was asked by Melanin Gamers founder Annabel to submit a video talking about the chronic illness and what it means to have it. I touch on how it affects my mental health, some of the small benefits I get from having sickle cell, and I also provide some advice for other Sickle Cell sufferers. Below is the video that I submitted.
